X-Ray Spectroscopy
The EBITs are ideal sources for high-resolution x-ray spectroscopy
of highly charged ions. We have several projects in this area,
including:
- Observation of n=2-2 transitions in highly charged uranium ions
- Investigation of X-ray laser schemes
- Binding energy measurements
Here is the von Hamos crystal spectrometer we use for
high-resolution crystal spectroscopy.
